When you’re first starting out on your journey to find the right college, you might begin by asking, “What is an undergraduate degree that would fit with my interests?” Fortunately, we offer a great variety of unique undergraduate programs, and you’ll be introduced to many of them while you complete your core education requirements. This means that by the time you must declare a major, you will have already found the answer to that question.

Students Choose UMES for Our Reputation

There are so many reasons why students from across the globe join the undergraduate degree programs we offer. That means that when you join UMES, you join a long tradition of greatness, including breaking down social, economic, and cultural barriers.

Students Choose UMES for its Affordability

Another reason why our undergraduate degrees are a number one choice for many students is the affordability of our undergraduate programs. We strive to offer affordable tuition rates and generous financial aid packages to help make higher education accessible to more students. About 90 percent of our students qualify for financial aid to help pay for their undergraduate degrees, and we award $10 million in scholarships annually.

Students Choose UMES for Our Campus

Another feature of UMES that draws students to our undergraduate programs is our beautiful campus. Located in the town of Princess Anne, on the eastern shore of Maryland, we offer a quiet community that’s perfect for studying and exploring. We are also only a short drive to Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Virginia Beach.

Students interested in engineering and aviation can take advantage of our state-of-the-art facilities and flight simulators to gain essential experience flying and navigating. PGA students can enjoy the many golf courses throughout Maryland. And undergraduate students who want to study marine science have the wondrous ecosystems of the Eastern Shore to study. After all, what is an undergraduate degree without hands-on experience in your field?
