2nd year DPT students participate in annual UMES Health Festival
The 2nd year DPT students participate in the annual UMES Health Festival each spring. The students educated the community on osteoporosis, deep vein thromboses, back pain and posture, walking aids, running shoes, ergonomics and many other topics. Participating in the Health Festival provides the students the opportunity to have hands-on experience with health promotion and community health, an important role of all health care professionals. This is a valuable skill for their future clinical practice.
