PART-TIME CLINICAL EDUCATION
Doctor of Physical Therapy Students participate in part-time clinical education experiences in the summer of the 1st year, and fall and spring semesters of the 2nd year. Students are able to observe a variety of clinical sites including acute, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. Â
These one-week clinical experiences provide the student with exposure to a multitude of settings and clinicians concurrent with coursework. The students begin to utilize their clinical knowledge and skills as they are learning in the classroom. Â This allows for hands-on experience that solidifies and enhances their didactic education. The students enjoy observing and interacting with patients of various diagnoses, dysfunctions and backgrounds and exploring different settings early on in the physical therapy program.
