Dr. Roberta Lynn Bright, Ph.D.

Bio:

Dr. Roberta Lynn Bright has served within the UMES Physical Therapy Department since 2013,  under the leadership of the late Founder/Chair, Dr. Raymond L. Blakely, and the current Chair, Dr. Michael C. Rabel.  She serves in the capacity of part-time Retention Coordinator/Lecturer, assisting students in the achievement of their goals and teaching PHYT 605: Life Span Development and Embryology each Fall semester to incoming 1st Year DPT students.    

Prior to her Physical Therapy Department tenure, she served full-time for thirty years as an Administrator within the Title III Program and Lecturer for the UMES Education Department.  As Department of Education lecturer, she taught Introduction to Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology on the UMES campus and at the Eastern Correctional Institution (all male inmate facility) through an UMES/ECI Collaboration Program.

Dr. Bright is an encourager, whose greatest joy is helping others overcome obstacles and achieve their God-given potentials/aspirations.
