Rebecca Rivera joined NOAA LMRCSC in April 2025 and is currently pursuing a B.A. in Natural Resources with a concentration in Wildlife & Fisheries Management at Delaware State University. She conducted a USDA NIFA internship in the summer of 2024 at Delaware State University, where she researched Calico crayfish to assess the effects of global change on reproduction under lowered pH conditions, under the mentorship of Grant Blank, including a two-week training at Auburn University in Alabama. In the summer of 2025, she completed an undergraduate TAB internship at the University of Miami, analyzing recreational fisheries catch and angler perspectives on Blue Marlin and Dolphinfish, mentored by Michelle Fernandez. After graduation, Rebecca plans to work for an environmental state agency and eventually pursue graduate studies.
