Kayla Adams is currently studying for an M.S. degree from the University of Maryland Eastern shore, where they graduated with a B.S. in biology in May 2025. Kayla has participated in both the LSAMP and REU summer internship programs, working with mentor Dr. Ali Ishaque. Kayla’s research focused on the Accumulation of Microplastics in Bivalves from Maryland Coastal Bays.
