Danielle Staggers is a Doctoral Fellow studying under the mentorship of Dr. Allen Place. She is working to develop and use tools to manipulate fish sex in aquaculture and monitor endocrine disruption in wild and farmed fish. She theorizes creating all-male stock will enhance productivity and protect coastal fish and environments.

Danielle’s project falls within the LMRCSC research theme of fostering U.S. marine aquaculture to increase production of seafood, add American jobs, and reduce the seafood trade deficit.
