Cheyenne Murdaugh graduated with an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Northern Virginia Community College in May 2022. She is now studying Marine Science at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), with plans to graduate in May 2025. Cheyenne aims to complete her NERTO project in July 2024 at the Pascagoula Laboratory in Mississippi under the supervision of NOAA Scientist Frank Hernandez. The topic of her summer undergraduate internship research is, “Development of Zooplankton Indices as Ecosystem Indicators for the Gulf of Mexico.”
After graduating, Cheyenne plans to potentially continue working with NOAA as a marine biologist or an environmental planner.
