Cheyenne Murdaugh graduated with a B.S. in Marine Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on May 16, 2025. She continues her education at UMES as an LMRCSC Masters fellow in the Marine Estuarine and Environmental Science (MEES) program.
Prior to attending UMES, she earned an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Northern Virginia Community College in May 2022. Cheyenne completed an internship in July 2024 at the Pascagoula Laboratory in Mississippi under the supervision of NOAA Scientist Frank Hernandez. The topic of her summer undergraduate internship research was, “Development of Zooplankton Indices as Ecosystem Indicators for the Gulf of Mexico.”
