Kayla McKinley is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in natural resources at Delaware State University. Under the mentorship of Dr. Stacy Smith, Kayla’s education involves researching the blue crab and their gut content. She hopes to aid in ensuring the species has an adequate food supply in their natural habitat, thus maintaining healthy ecosystems and safe seafood.
