Imani Wilburn earned her B.S. in Biology from Bowie State University, where she was also an undergraduate EPP/MSI scholar with NOAA. In 2019, she began pursuing an M.S. in Fisheries Sciences at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Her thesis research focuses on the impact of microplastics on fish in the Maryland coastal bays and how to remove microplastics from the water. Upon graduation, Imani aspires to be a Marine Biologist and a professor.
