On March 29, 2016, the 3rd year DPT students participated in an Aging Simulation Workshop with Audrey Wahl and Jean Baker from the Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center (AHEC). To enhance the learning experience the DPT students portrayed their own image of themselves as a retired older adult. The workshop allowed the students to rotate through several simulation stations which depicted age-related changes in the sensory systems. The students gained insight and appreciation for the adaptive devices needed to insure that older adults live independently and safely in the community.
