Mya Rufus

Mya Rufus earned a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  A native of Baltimore, Mya has an interest in conservation, pollution, and marine life. In 2019, Mya participated in the LMRCSC’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) internship program, where she enhanced her skills in marine life research.

Ms. Rufus’ interests include researching bacteria and the effects that humans have on the environments around them. Mya plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Marine Biology.
