Dropping Courses

Students who wish to drop a course(s)  may do so through Hawkweb-self-service during open enrollment and during the drop period only.

If you drop a course during the drop period, this means that all entries for the course are dropped completely from your transcript.

Once the drop period ends, you will need to submit the registration add/drop form to remove courses you have decided not to complete.  Please note that the drop period is prior to Mid-Terms.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VIEW YOUR SCHEDULE ON THE HAWKWEB AND MAKE SURE YOUR SCHEDULE IS CORRECT.

The last day which courses may be dropped is published in the Academic Calendar for each semester/term.

ALL COURSES IN WHICH YOU ARE ENROLLED AFTER THE FINAL DROP DATE WILL BE ENTERED PERMANENTLY on YOUR ACADEMIC RECORD.

Please refer to the Withdrawal and Credit of Tuition and Fees | Comptroller’s Office (umes.edu) for financial implications.
