Zuri Murph is a third-year Marine and Environmental Science major at Hampton University and is expected to graduate in May 2026. They are working with Dr. Jeanette Davis on using eDNA to examine microbial communities around oyster restoration efforts. They began studying for their B.S. at Hampton University in August 2022, in the Department of Marine and Environmental Science. Their research involves oyster restoration. Zuri ultimately aims to earn a Ph.D. and become a research scientist.
