Leianna Jones participated in the Geosciences Bridge Program in the summer of 2022. Her project focused on the abundance and distribution of Grass Shrimp and White Shrimp in the Maryland Coastal Bays. After completing the program, she enrolled at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to pursue a degree in Marine Science.
In Fall 2023, Leianna became an LMRCSC Undergraduate Fellow and continues to pursue her B.S. She is engaged in research on microplastics in fish and bivalves in the Maryland Coastal Bays under the mentorship of Dr. Ali Ishaque.
