Counseling Services: Taking care of your mental health is essential to your well-being and academic success. At times, personal stressors may interfere with your performance or daily life. If you are experiencing challenges, please remember that support is available. UMES Counseling Services provides free and confidential counseling to all students. Services are located on the 2nd floor of the Student Development Center, Suite 2260, and can be reached at 410-651-6449. If you need to speak with a counselor outside of regular office hours, you may call Healthy Hawks, a 24/7/365 mental health support line, at 410-651-HELP (4357)—your well-being matters. Please take advantage of these resources when needed.

Please be aware that faculty members are “Responsible Employees” and must report suspected or alleged sex discrimination to the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance. If OIE receives information about an incident, they will reach out to offer information about resources, rights, and options. If you or another student you know would like to speak with a confidential resource who is not required to report, please contact the Counseling Center at 410-651-6449.
