Miss and Mr. MANRRS, Mercedes Rabb and Adin Clarke, were guests as Maryland Agriculture Youth Leaders at the annual Taste of Maryland banquet in Anne Arundel County. The event, held Feb. 5, 2026 was hosted by the Maryland Agriculture Council.
“It was an honor talking to Maryland legislators about their role in agriculture leadership,” Rabb said.
The event stood out to her as an opportunity to network with a variety of agricultural stakeholders.
Rabb and Clarke are general agriculture majors concentrating in animal science/pre-vet at UMES slated to graduate in spring 2026. They are also UMES Land-Grant Scholars.
“I was inspired by meeting key agricultural figures in Maryland, along with farmers, delegates and representatives from different counties. It showed the care and support that is put into the industry in the state,” Clarke said.
