The School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences hosted more than 80 high school students visiting the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nov. 20 as part of a college fair. During a portion of the event organized by UMES Extension 4-H STEM, the prospective students learned directly from UMES undergraduates, club members and faculty about college majors, research opportunities and campus involvement among other topics. UMES’ MANRRS Chapter, the Human Ecology Club, Environmental Sciences Association, Pre-Dental Society and the UMES Land-grant Scholarship Program were among the participating SANS organizations.
