This Workshop is for the Birds (and Bees) will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at the university’s Research, Extension and Teaching Farm on Stewart Neck Road in Princess Anne.
In this hands‑on workshop, you’ll learn to build both birdhouses and native bee boxes while also discovering the vital role these creatures play in North American habitats.
Understand which birdhouses are best for specific species, and get tips to maintain them across multiple seasons.
Discover how native bees boost pollination far beyond honeybees, and birds naturally help control garden pests. You’ll leave with practical knowledge, printed plans for multiple birdhouses, and your own handmade habitat for your backyard.
