
Ag Showcase

The sixth annual UMES Ag Showcase returns to Princess Anne, Maryland, on Aug. 12, 2026.
This event brings together agriculture producers and farm service providers. Learn the latest in research and production techniques for alternative crops. Field trials in corn and soybean varieties using smart-farming technology, including drones, will be discussed. Other topics include precision agriculture tools and equipment, soil health and more.
It will be held 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, with content beginning at 9 a.m.
The 2026 showcase is hosted by UMES Extension with sessions led by Atlantic Tractor, Sentinel Robotics, University of Maryland Extension and Future Harvest.
Visit the Atlantic Tractor/John Deere Ops Center for the latest in precision agricultural equipment, while Sentinel Robotics returns this year with a drone demo. University of Maryland Extension and Future Harvest will team up to demonstrate the Maryland Soil Health Card and Rainfall Simulator at the showcase.
Cutting-edge research being conducted by UMES faculty and extension specialists is on the schedule.
Participants from Maryland and Delaware will have opportunities to earn pesticide and other Continuing Education Credits (CEUs).
Ag equipment, vendors and exhibitors will round out the offerings at the event.
The event is free to attend but pre-registration is required. Lunch is included. Ag Showcase will be held at the university’s Research, Extension and Teaching Farm on Stewart Neck Road.

- 10-11 a.m. Sentinel Robotics Drone Demo; Demonstration of MD Soil Health Card and Rainfall Simulator by University of Maryland Extension and Future Harvest
- 11-11:30 a.m. Ag Equipment, Vendor and Exhibitor Showcase open for visitation
- 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Lunch
- 12:30-2 p.m. Grapevine Cultivar and Quinoa Evaluation Trials; UMES Precision Ag Imaging and Spraying Drone Demonstration
- 2-3 p.m. Sustainable Bioenergy Feedstocks; Small Farm Alternative Crop Research and Field Trials

The 2026 Ag Showcase is also offering pesticide and other Continuing Education Credits (CEUs):
- Approved for Maryland: 8CEUs for Pesticides (in specific categories), 4 Nutrient Management (NM) credits
- Approved for Delaware: 3.5 NM credits (for specific sessions)
- Additional credits may become available; check back for updates.
Become An Exhibitor
Registration for exhibitors/vendors is $50, due Aug. 3. The exhibitor price includes one booth space, one 6-foot table (no tablecloth), one chair, one attendee ticket and company name recognition.
