Learn how the agroforestry practices of alley cropping for weather variability can help farmers improve profitability at a workshop offered by University of Maryland Eastern Shore Extension .

The Alley Cropping for Weather Variability Practices Workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, at  Richard A. Henson Center on campus at 30690 University Blvd. S., Princess Anne, MD.

Farmers and expert panels will share best practices for alley cropping and their experiences. Discussion topics include marketing of weather-variable produce, lavender, cover crops and soil health, integrated pest management and plasticulture. 

The workshop is free to attend but pre-registration is required by March 25.
