RAM Lab

The  RAM (Robotics Automation and Manufacturing)  laboratory, located in EASC building room 1021, can accommodate 20 students . The laboratory has been outfitted  with Adept equipment’s including:

Cobra S350:
The Adept Cobra™ s350 SCARA robot (4-axis robot) is a high-performance SCARA robot system for mechanical assembly, material handling, packaging, machine tending, screw driving, and other applications that require fast and precise automation. Adept Cobra s-Series robots include the Adept SmartController™ motion controller, which provides performance capabilities unmatched in the industry, the robot equipped with Adept Smart Vision MX,  AdeptSight  and Blister camera.

Viper s1700D:

The Adept Viper™ s1700D six-axis robot is an extended-reach and higher-payload version of the line of six-axis robots featuring new motors that are faster and more efficient. Designed for applications that require fast and precise automation, the Viper s1700D robot is ideal for material handling, machine tending, packaging, cutting and assembly.

The TeachMover II:

The Microbot TeachMover II includes features that will challenge students to expand their knowledge of robotic workcells:
Newly updated PC board with additional memory (300 steps).
Auxiliary motor outputs programmable from the Teach Pendant allow to synchronize the movements of other material handling accessories.
Internal Power Supply – 8 axis (versus 6 axis on the original TeachMover).
Newly added height of base increases robot work envelope ( ±3.5″).
