Production Facilities

In 2016, the English Department’s Digital Media Program moved to a new home with state-of-the-art audio and video production facilities. The University’s Engineering and Aviation Sciences Complex is a $103 million facility which houses a number of technology-focused programs.

Digital Media students get hands-on field and studio training in the building’s three television studios, two radio studios, and fully-equipped audio and video edit suites. They utilize equipment our graduates will encounter in professional situations including a Ross Carbonite video production switcher, ChyronHego Lyric Graphics Generator, two Newtek Tricaster460s, high definition television cameras, and multiple studios with chroma key capability and teleprompters.

These facilities are also utilized by our campus media organization, Hawk Media. Students from all majors participate each semester producing information and entertainment programs for the campus community.

Our focus on experiential learning through hands-on instruction, student-led media organizations, and professional internships allows us to boast that our alumni are working in a variety of challenging positions for well-known companies including CBS News, C-SPAN, Bounce TV, Comcast Sports, the Sinclair Broadcast Group, Jaffe Communications, and the Egami Consulting Group.
