Digital Media Studies Minor

Digital Media Studies The Digital Media Studies Minor is for English majors and students in major programs of study outside the Department of English and Modern Languages. The Digital Media Studies Minor is designed to satisfy the varied interests of students who seek careers in radio, television, public relations, journalism, social media, and/or other digital outlets. Students will focus on both content creation and product delivery, tailoring their minors to suit their individualized needs. This broadly-based minor is reflective of the expanding and encompassing field of communications studies in the 21st century.

English Minor

The English Minor is for students in major programs of study outside the Department of English and Modern Languages. English courses taken to meet General Education requirements DO NOT meet department requirements for the minor in English. In addition to General Education requirements, students selecting English as a minor must choose a sequence of English courses from the list in number one below.

Foreign Language Minor

The minor in foreign language is designed for students who wish to become proficient in one or more languages. The requirements include both language courses and content courses from offerings in foreign language and/or literature, as well as related fields such as foreign film or international affairs. Students must take six courses for 18 credit hours from the approved course list. The study abroad option is also available for certain languages. Students may choose multiple languages to complete the foreign language minor; however, if students choose more than one language, they must complete a 200 level course for each of the chosen languages.
