JASMINE WALDEN
Class of 2013
Jasmine was selected as the UMES Student Leader of the Year in 2012 for her role as general manager of Hawk Radio, the student-managed campus radio station. She impressed the public relations staff at BET as well. While a summer intern in BET’s corporate communications office in the TV network’s New York City offices, Jasmine was selected to work the red carpet at the annual BET Award show in Los Angeles. That’s where she met filmmaker Spike Lee with whom she’s pictured above.
