PRINCESS ANNE, MD – (June 5, 2019) – UMES Extension presents another opportunity for farmers, gardeners and everyone in between to interact with Dr. Nadine Burton and Habanera Farm’s Henriette den Ouden during its next Growing Specialty Herbs workshop. The two-hour event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, on the UMES Education and Demonstration Farm on Stewart Neck Road.
Back by popular demand, the workshop is set to offer information rich in everything a grower needs to know to take advance of the economic opportunities surrounding specialty herbs. Participants can expect to learn how to cultivate, harvest and market the most popular ones. Instructors will also provide information about plant origins, medicinal properties and production practices.
The Growing Specialty Herbs workshop will serve as a source of knowledge for anyone who has not attended previously or as a refresher course for anyone who has already attended.
