The new Agricultural Research & Education Center at University of Maryland Eastern Shore takes shape.

Finishing touches are being made to the Agricultural Research & Education Center at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. 

The newly constructed building, slated to open in 2026, will provide modern research and education space, better positioning UMES for continued agriculture innovation to support agribusiness and economic development throughout Maryland and the region. 

At about 25,000 square feet, the center features six specialized research labs and accompanying support space, and six greenhouses of varying sizes, as well as traditional classrooms, conference rooms and office space.
