PRINCESS ANNE, MD – May 15, 2020 – Growing herbs at home is the focus for the next University of Maryland Eastern Shore Extension webinar. Scheduled for Thursday, May 28, at 10 a.m., the free webinar will offer up-to-the-minute techniques for growing herbs for a variety of reasons.
“I am excited to be able to give as many people as a webinar can hold information that has taken me years to perfect,” said Henriette den Ouden, specialty herbs consultant for the UMES Extension Small Farms Program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Well versed in all things herbal, den Ouden is the presenter for the day. She brings more than 20 years of experience and will offer information that can be used to select the right herbs to grow, to choose the perfect location, to prepare the location, to maintain the herb garden, and to use the fresh herbs or how to dry them. Following her multimedia presentation, the session will be open for questions.
To prepare for a lifetime of herbal benefits, plan to attend online. While the “Growing Herbs at Home: Planting Your Own Herb Garden” webinar is free and open to the public, registration is required to attend. Registrants will receive a secure Zoom link and password to attend.
