SARE-Apple team at second workshop of the year.

PRINCESS ANNE, MD – (September 12, 2018) – Apple, Strawberry and Pumpkin Production is the title and theme of the fourth SARE-Apple Workshop at UMES.  On Saturday, September 29, the workshop will begin at 10 a.m. in Room 1102 in the UMES Food Science and Technology Center. 

Topics of discussion for the workshop include, but are not limited to, growing pumpkin and Day Neutral Strawberries (March through November) and building a trellis for the Dwarf Apple.

Farmers, agriculture professionals, home gardeners, agriculture students and community families are invited to attend as well as to join the SARE Apple Team at UMES.  Under Kumar’s direction, the team enjoys year-round workshops and trainings as he promotes apple cultivation in Maryland.
