University of Maryland Eastern Shore Agriculture and Extension programs

PRINCESS ANNE, MD – (August 29, 2018) – Sheep and goat producers are invited to a discussion centered on the establishment of a small ruminant producers’ association on Thursday, October 18.  The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Richard A. Henson Center on the UMES campus. 

Dr. E. Nelson Escobar, University of Maryland Extension small ruminant specialist at UMES, and Maegan Perdue, University of Maryland Extension agent associate and nutrient management advisor in Worcester County, will lead the discussion for the startup that will allow producers to network, give input on programming needs in the area and gain valuable continuing education.  Refreshments will be provided.
