Questions pertaining to the COVID-19 Impact

What do I need to know about COVID-19?

The federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency declaration ended on May 11, 2023. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has lifted isolation and testing requirements; thus, there will be no further actions the program will take at this time surrounding COVID-19 outside of vaccinations as required by clinical sites based upon CDC recommendations.

Will I have to vaccinate against COVID-19?

We anticipate our clinical partners will require the COVID-19 vaccine and booster vaccinations; thus, students could experience a delay in progression if they cannot meet the onboarding requirements of a clinical site. If a student refuses to receive the COVID vaccine they will be required to sign a waiver that explains that failure to receive the COVID vaccine and this may delay their graduation due to the inability of the student to complete their clinical rotations.
