A design project to demonstrate ability of the students to engage in the practice of engineering as a profession. Students in consultation with the supervising professor and course coordinator must identify and implement a design project. The topic may be analytical, numerical, experimental, or field-oriented, utilizing knowledge gained from academic and research experiences integrated in the curriculum. A written proposal, literature search, and an oral presentation are required. Use of professional engineering standards and a design approach are required.
