When is Commencement?

Spring 2021 Commencement will be held on Friday, May 14th , 2021 at 11am

Where will Commencement be held?

The Commencement Ceremony will take place inside the William P. Hytche Arena. In accordance with CDC guidelines, graduates will be limited to two ticketed guests in order to maintain half capacity and comply to social distancing standards.

Will there be a rehearsal?

Yes, rehearsal will be May 13, 2021 at 3pm in William P. Hytche Arena.

Do I need tickets for guest?

Yes, two tickets per candidate will be distributed. Each guest will need their ticket to get on campus and into the commencement venue. Please be advised all guest will be subject to submitting a negative COVID 19 test taken between 5/10-5/13. All negative results and vaccination cards should be uploaded to the google form sent by the degree candidate to the guest. Guest will also be subjected to health screens upon arrival onto campus. 

Why am I only allowed two tickets?

To adhere to the Governor’s Executive Order of limiting indoor gatherings to half capacity or less.

What happens if my guest loses their ticket?

Due to health and safety regulations, anyone without a ticket will be denied entry into the ceremony

When will tickets be distributed?

Tickets will be distributed to candidates at rehearsal.  Please be on the lookout for an email regarding how to RSVP for your guest.

Where will my degree be mailed?

Please check Hawkeye and make sure you have your home address where you would like your degree mailed. Degrees will be mailed approximately four to six weeks following the Commencement ceremony.
