International Education Week

Celebrating International Education Week at UMES!

UMES students had an exciting opportunity to explore global experiences during International Education Week this year.

On Tuesday, November 18, Boren Award representative Michael Saffle visited campus to introduce students to the Boren Awards, highlighting opportunities for scholarships and fellowships that support study and research abroad with a focus on language learning.

Later, on Thursday, December 20, Ralph Papillon from our study abroad partner SAI joined us at the SSC Rotunda to share information about study abroad programs, including destinations, program options, and how to make the most of the experience.

These events gave students the chance to meet experts, ask questions, and learn about ways to study and gain experience abroad. Keep an eye on the Center for International Education for upcoming events! you never know what new opportunities might be around the corner!
