UN Global Internship Presentation

The Center for International Education hosted a United Nations Global Internship Presentation on February 28 in the EASC building. The event aimed to provide students with in-depth information about internship opportunities at the United Nations and to inspire interest in pursuing international careers.

Phillip Broussard, Director of the Center for International Education, welcomed all attendees and provided an introduction to the session. He emphasized the importance of gaining global experience and highlighted how internships can enhance both academic and professional development.

The main presentation was delivered by Mr. Troy Wolfe, Senior Director of the U.N. UNA-USA program. Mr. Wolfe provided detailed information about the various countries where students could intern, the eligibility requirements, and the step-by-step application process. He also shared valuable insights on how to prepare strong applications and make the most of the internship experience.

A total of 23 students attended the event, showing great enthusiasm and curiosity about opportunities to gain international experience. Many students asked questions about specific programs and career paths after participating in a U.N. internship. The session concluded with a networking opportunity, allowing students to connect with the speakers and with each other to discuss potential next steps.
