ARD Research Symposium 2022

Symposium Theme:
The 1890 Research and Innovation Agenda: Pathways to Build Back Better

Two prestigious awards will be presented at the 2022 Research Symposium. The first award is the Morrison-Evans Outstanding Scientist Award, given to an outstanding 1890 scientist. Each Research Director should select only one candidate for nomination. Information about your nominee must be presented strictly according to the guidelines. This will ensure equal treatment of all candidates.

The second award is the B. D. Mayberry Young Scientist Award, given to an outstanding young scientist. Each Research Director should select only one candidate for nomination. Information about your nominee must be presented strictly according to the guidelines. This will ensure equal treatment of all candidates.

Nominations can only be accepted from Research Directors and will be reviewed by qualified partners of the 1890 system at USDA or 1862 institutions. Nomination packets must be received by Friday, January 21, 2022. Please forward your nomination information for both awards to:

  • 8 ½ x 11 inch page
  • Times New Roman no smaller than 11 points
  • Line spacing of 1.5
  • Top, bottom, left, and right margins of at least 1 inch (1.0).
  • Limit 6 pages
