Transfer/Previously Enrolled in a PharmD Program

Transfer and Advanced Standing Credit Policy

Due to the unique modular system, the School of Pharmacy at UMES will not be able to accept transfer credits for courses from another professional program, or grant admission with advance standing. All students, regardless of any prior pharmacy school training must start as SP-1 students.  Additionally, foreign credits are not accepted.  All prerequisite coursework must be completed at an accredited college/university in the United States or Canada.

Former PharmD Application Procedures

Former PharmD transfer students are defined as students who are currently or were previously enrolled in the professional phase of a Doctor of Pharmacy program at another college or school of pharmacy.  Former PharmD students should follow the same PharmCAS and supplemental application procedures as any other applicant.  In addition, the following application materials should be completed and emailed to rxstudentaffairs@umes.edu or faxed to (410) 651-8394 (Attn: Ms. Sharon Neal-Horsey) for Fall 2023 consideration.
