Department of Fine arts Faculty Exhibition
August 24 – September 25
Intake: August 17 – August 21
Opening Reception: August 27, 4:30 – 6pm
This exhibition highlights the works of UMES faculty members in the Department of Fine Arts: Collin Byrd, Jesse Halpern, Elvin Hernandez, Brad Hudson, Kaylee Rose, Salih Zeki Sayar, Murat Sener, Emeritus “Ernie” Satchell, Lillian Pennypacker, and Rula Jones. Presenting the diverse interests and artistic output of the department’s faculty, the exhibition includes painting, drawing, printmaking, digital art, ceramics, and photography works.
Lower Shore High School Exhibition
November 2 – November 20
Intake: October 26 – October 29
Opening Reception: November 5, 4:30 – 6pm
In partnership with art teachers from Somerset County, Wicomico County, and Worcester County High Schools. This exhibition celebrates the budding talent of young artist in the Lower Shore and provides promising students with cash awards as well as an opportunity to explore studying art at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Fall 2026 Senior Thesis Exhibition
December 1 – December 18
Intake: November 20 – November 30
Opening Reception: December 3, 4:30 – 6pm
This exhibition serves as the capstone project for the Department of Fine Arts’ graduating seniors from the Graphic Illustration, Sequential Arts, and Commercial Photography programs, and introduces them to the campus and Somerset County community.
