Studio Hours are open for all students from the times listed above. If the times above change, you will be notified by email and flyers. Make sure to sign in with your name and student ID number, outside of office 1153. Clean up after yourself and leave the area how you found it. If you’d like to rent out a time for the photography lab, or if you have any questions, email finearts@umes.edu

Fall 2025 UMES Fine Arts Faculty Exhibition
August 27 – October 31
Reception: August 27 at 4:30 pm
This exhibition highlights the works of UMES faculty members in the Department of Fine Arts: Collin Byrd, Jesse Halpern, Christopher Harrington, Elvin Hernandez, Brad Hudson, Mehves Lelic, Kaylee Rose, Ernie Satchell (Emeritus), Salih Zeki Sayar, Murat Sener, and William Newman-Wise. Presenting the diverse interests and artistic output of the department’s faculty, the exhibition includes painting, drawing, printmaking, digital art, ceramics, and photography works.
2025-26 Lower Shore High School Exhibition
November 6 – 25
Reception: November 6, 4:30 – 6 pm
In partnership with art teachers from Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset County High Schools, this exhibition celebrates the budding talent of young artists in the Lower Shore and provides promising students with cash awards as well as an opportunity to explore studying art at the University of Maryland Easter Shore.
Fall 2025 Senior Thesis Exhibition: Fennec Miller, Shenia Clay, Simone Dixon
December 3 – 13
Reception: December 3, 4:30 – 6 pm
This exhibition serves as the capstone project for the Fine Arts Department’s graduating seniors from the Graphic Illustration, Sequential Arts, and Commercial Photography programs, and introduces them to the campus and Somerset County community.
