Brief Description of Program: Upward Bound is a pre-college program that provides fundamental support to high school students in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for students to succeed in pre-college performance and, ultimately, in higher education pursuits. Upward Bound is a year-round program and serves students in Somerset and Wicomico counties. The ultimate goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rates at which students enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. Upward Bound provides instruction in mathematics, laboratory sciences, English, literature, and foreign language. College students are employed as tutors during both the academic year and summer session
Eligibility: Serves students in Somerset and Wicomico counties.
