Perdue Field Trip

The Introduction to Poultry Management class toured the Perdue processing plant in Milford, Del., early November.  Pictured from left, are:  Jennifer Timmons, assistant professor, UMES Department of Agriculture, Food and Resource Sciences; Alexandria James; Gaibrielle Bressler; Stephanie Webb; Catherine Hickman; Gabrielle Morris; Eryn Barnett; and Camryn Rhames. “It was a great tour,” said Timmons.  “They are the only plant on the shore that uses controlled atmosphere stunning.  It was good to share with the students some of the new technologies that are being used in the poultry industry.”
