AACP Walmart Scholars Program http://www.aacp.org/career/grants/pages/walmart.aspx

  • Eligibility: Graduate students, professional (doctoral) students, residents and fellows, along with their faculty mentors, are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Please note that some preference is given to residents, fellows, and final year students. Previous AACP Walmart Scholars recipients are ineligible.
  • Submission: Online application, GPA Verification Letter, Student’s Statement of Career Goals, Student’s Academic Pharmacy Essay, Faculty Mentor’s Support of Student letter. APhA Foundation Student Scholarship Program http://www.aphafoundation.org/student-scholarship-program

  • Eligibility: Students who complete at least one academic year in the professional sequence of courses with a cumulative GPA 2.75 or above. Students must be an active member in APhA-ASP; leadership position is not required. See additional criteria for Colonel Jerry W. Ross Scholarship, George F. CVS Foundation Bilingual Students Awards

  • Eligibility: Current UMES-SOP students who have bilingual skills and demonstrate interest in community pharmacy practice
  • Submission: CV and Essay on “How my Bilingual skills have and will allow me to provide quality pharmacy care to my community and other underserved populations”. Submit all required documents to Awards and Scholarships Committee Administrative Assistant. Contact Awards and Scholarships Committee Chair for any questions regarding the awards.

CVS Foundation Community Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Current UMES-SOP students who demonstrate interest in community pharmacy practice, hold a leadership position in an organization and are employed by CVS.
  • Submission: CV and essay on how this scholarship “will allow them to achieve their future community pharmacy goals”. Submit all required documents to Awards and Scholarships Committee Administrative Assistant. Contact Awards and Scholarships Committee Chair for any questions regarding the awards.

  • Eligibility: Pharmacy school students who reside in Delaware for at least one year prior to the date of this application

  • Eligibility: Pharmacy students with Delaware residency OR intern registration in Delaware who demonstrate a financial need.

D.Page Elmore Endowment Fund

  • Eligibility: Residents of the Eastern Shore for 10+ years.
  • Submission: Student admissions scores for selected students will be provided by the admissions committee and student affairs and submitted to UMES Awards and Scholarships Committee.
  • Value: $250 annually

Eastern Shore Pharmaceutical Society

  • Eligibility: Current UMES-SOP student in good academic standing and have completed the first year of the program. Students must be an active member of APhA/MPhA
  • Submission: Essay, resume, two letters of recommendation (one from faculty member and one from preceptor from the Eastern Shore), official transcript. All required documents should be either emailed to s.kloch@hotmail.com or mailed to Eastern Shore Pharmaceutical Society Scholarship Committee, Attn: Lisa Kloch, 3929 Willey Rd, Hurlock, MD 21643.

Maryland Pharmacists Association/MPhA Foundation Scholarships https://www.marylandpharmacist.org/page/StudentScholarships

Eligibility:

  • Attending a School of Pharmacy in Maryland, or a Maryland resident attending an out-of-state School of Pharmacy at the time of application submission
  • Be a student member of the Maryland Pharmacists Association
  • Student in good academic and disciplinary standing at their School of Pharmacy

Submission: The application packet is online via the MPhA website. The online application form cannot be saved; please submit all information at one time. If needed, multiple submissions will be allowed, and application materials will be collated. The deadline for application materials is March 25, 2022 11:59pm EST. Scholarship application packets that are not complete (did not submit all the required application components listed above) by the deadline will not be considered.

  • Eligibility: All current pharmacy students who are NCPA student members are eligible to apply for ONE of the NCPA Foundation Scholarships per academic year. Students may only receive this award one time.
  • Submission: Scholarship application, official transcripts, two letters of recommendation (one from faculty and one from a pharmacy owner or manager), CV/resume, essay.   • Eligibility: Either undergraduate or graduate students who are enrolled in public health/health education, med school, nursing and/or pharmacy degree program and must have one or more years of school remaining. Past winners are not eligible to apply. Employees or related personnel of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc, McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division, ISTS, Inc. are not eligible.

Walgreens Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Award

  • Eligibility: Current UMES-SOP student who has not previously received a Walgreens Diversity Scholarship and currently work for Walgreens.
  • Submission: CV and an essay on how they have “made significant efforts toward raising awareness or playing an active role in educating others about diversity and inclusion”. Walgreens Diversity Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Current UMES-SOP students who has not previously received a Walgreens Diversity Scholarship and represents an underrepresented minority group
