How to Apply

Early Decision

The UMES School of Pharmacy does not participate in the Early Decision process through PharmCAS.

Initial Application Procedure

The School of Pharmacy at UMES requires the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS), a centralized online application service utilized by the majority of pharmacy schools nationwide.  PharmCAS Application (www.pharmcas.org) includes: a personal statement (which outlines a student’s interest in pharmacy), 3 Letters of recommendation, and official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges or universities previously attended. Applicants may have their PCAT scores submitted directly to PharmCAS (PCAT Code 0104) or to UMES (PCAT Code 0100). Please contact Pearson at 1-800-622-3231 or visit their website www.pcatweb.info for a PCAT application and additional PCAT information.
*In response to the SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 pandemic, the UMES School of Pharmacy is temporarily suspending the PCAT requirement for the 2021-2022 cycle. We strongly encourage applicants to take the PCAT.

Additional Required Application Materials

The supplemental application includes demographic information, the Maryland Residency form, and a biographical sketch (a one page summary of who you are, what matters most to you, and how you would add value to the School of Pharmacy at UMES).  There is a $40.00 supplemental application fee payable by credit card. The application can be found here: 2020 – 2021 supplemental application.
