Bio
Dr. Omar F. Attarabeen is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Administration at the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Administration. Before joining the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Dr. Attarabeen worked at Marshall University School of Pharmacy as a faculty member and the Director of Assessment and accreditation. Prior to that, Dr. Attarabeen practiced pharmacy in West Virginia for several years before he completed Masters and PhD degrees in Health Outcomes and Services Research from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.
On a national level, Dr. Attarabeen is the Chair of the AACP Curriculum SIG. Relying on his experience, Dr. Attarabeen has published a number of articles in the curriculum, assessment, and global education fields, and made several presentations at local and national conferences. His research interest lies in the areas of programmatic assessment, assessment of student learning, pharmacy education, health behavior, and minorities’ utilization of health care services.
