UMES Campus Events
The university holds a great many of special events and activities. Organizations from off campus should contact the Richard Henson Center for information. All events sponsored by on campus groups should be scheduled through the Event Management System (EMS). Most campus departments already have access to EMS. If you need to have EMS installed on your computer, please submit a ticket at help.umes.edu.
Technology is often required for a variety of campus events including meetings, guest speaker presentations, performances, symposia, student activities, town halls, and external group conferences/meetings. In order to schedule technician support and equipment, we ask that you follow the guidelines when planning an event.
- Schedule your room or other spaces at least two or more weeks in advance.
- If your event is scheduled for the Student Services Center, please contact Monique Potter (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange for technical assistance.
- For all other venues on campus, please complete a request ticket at help.umes.edu. Please choose the category “Audio Visual Event Requests”.
Please note that technical support is not guaranteed for evening and weekend events. Please make arrangements as early as possible. Depending on the time of your event, your department may be charged overtime costs.
