UMES Extension will hold a free workshop Friday, May 10, aimed at helping heirs of family-owned land at risk of losing their properties for lack of legal documentation to prove ownership.
The workshop, titled “Heirs’ Property: Problems, Prevention & Resolution,” will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Student Service Center, 30617 College Backbone Road.
Without legal documentation to prove ownership, heirs might have trouble securing funding, receiving benefits or selling the property.
