The housekeeping work center ensures that all facility interiors are maintained according to the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. All housekeepers/service workers are provided hands-on training on proper cleaning procedures and use of equipment. Housekeepers and Service Workers are provided the opportunity to become certified in the following areas: Chemistry of Cleaning, Basic Cleaning for Above-Floor Surfaces, Basic Cleaning of Restrooms, Basic Cleaning of Carpeted Floor Surfaces, and Basic Cleaning of Hard Floor Surfaces.

“Being Green”
Housekeeping has incorporated environmentally sustainable work practices such as using environmentally-safer cleaning chemicals and paper products, re-using supplies whenever possible, and recycling empty cleaning product containers. Housekeeping also collects recyclables within campus buildings as part of the campus recycling program.
