
Dr. Lauren Antal (Class of 2019) will recently joined the UMES School of Pharmacy faculty on September 1, 2020. Dr. Antal is a graduate of Salisbury University and an alumna of our Doctor of Pharmacy program. At UMES, Dr. Antal earned the distinction of class valedictorian and won many other academic awards. After graduating, Dr. Antal went on to complete a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Her residency research project is entitled “Impact of an Opioid Stewardship Program in Reducing Inpatient Intravenous Opioid Utilization in a Community Teaching Hospital” and was presented as a poster at the 2019 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Antal’s hobbies include going to the beach, hiking, and kayaking. Dr. Antal’s practice site will be at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
