Dana R. Fasanella, PharmD
Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice
Prior to joining the UMES School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, Dr. Fasanella completed her Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) residency in Ambulatory Care with an Emphasis in Academia with the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 Community Practice Residency with The University of Texas at Austin and H.E.B. Pharmacy.
Dr. Fasanella received both her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Science in Clinical Research from Campbell University. She received her Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Dr. Fasanella holds active pharmacy licenses in Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, and North Carolina. She also holds a Texas State Board of Pharmacy Preceptor Certificate. Her professional associations include: American Pharmacists Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Association of Diabetes Educators, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc., and the Maryland Pharmacists Association.
Practice interests include diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, anticoagulation, asthma, and COPD management. Dr. Fasanella is interested in practice-based research that serves to evaluate and improve pharmacist provided clinical services.
