Propagating Dahlias from Cuttings

Learn about different dahlia categories and their use in a cut flower patch at this hands-on workshop offered Feb. 23 by UMES Extension at Vintage Family Farms in Hurlock, Maryland.

You’ll learn how to prepare tubers for propagation and how to take cuttings from new shoots.

Pre-sprouted tubers will be available for you to practice taking your own cuttings.

The workshop will review how to care for and pot up rooted cuttings and share tips on growing your new plants that are ready for planting out.

The workshop is limited to 30 participants. Refreshments will be available but please bring lunch.

The cost is $40 per attendee, and pre-registration is required.

Attendees will receive cuttings and supplies to pot up dahlias.
